Budgam girl Masrat Jabeen outshine in recent JKCS exams

Budgam:  In recent announced result of Jammu Kashmir Civil Service (JKCS) examination (2017) Masrat Jabeen (26) from the Charar-i-sharief township outshined and made her place in the final list.
With total score of 578.40, Masrat secured 5th position among total eleven selected candidates and became the only girl from valley to crack the examination.
Dedicating her achievement to her father who is a senior lawyer, Masrat acclaims him as her role Model who supported her at every step. “Without my father’s support and efforts it would not have been possible for me to crack this examination”, Masrat stated.
Masrat is a Law graduate from Kashmir university and did her basic schooling from Local school run by Jamat-I-islamia’s Fallah-I-Aam trust and for higher education Masrat moved to Srinagar.
Recognizing the contribution of her father in her achievement Masrat praised him for all the success she achieved and repeatedly thanked him for his support.
Thanking everyone for contributing in her success, Masrat also thanked her family and well wishers who stood with her throughout the process “My family members have equal share in my achievement and have supported me at every walk of life and I want to thank all my well wishers too”, Masrat said.
Since from the childhood being familiar with “jargons” of court room, Masrat aimed to qualify this competitive examination from the day she joined Kashmir University’s Law department. “It was my passion for the goal that kept me hardworking to achieve it,” she added.
Sharing her new responsibilities as judicial officer with this reporter, Masrat said that she will perform her duty with honesty, integrity and dedication that would be obviously for betterment of the society.
“Bar and bench are two faces of the same coin and both are essential for the efficient justice delivery system,” she said.
Terming women equal to males in society, Masrat said that women can be also make mark in the society by achieving heights in various fields and can also become good decision makers who can transform the world by breaking all stereotypes in the society. “Woman needs to realize that they are at par with everyone in the society irrespective of gender caste, creed and religion” she told to this reporter.
In her message to young lawyers, Masrat said that it is important to set goal and balance things in your life to achieve them, “Hard work is a key to success, I feel my hard work has borne fruits and I am thankful to Allah”.
“Ultimately it is all about striking a balance between preparing your examination and dealing with your rest of life,” she added.
Among eleven candidates to pass JKCS two boys and one girl hails from the Kashmir region and rest of the qualified candidates are from jammu region. Out of 1729 candidates who appeared in written test 45 candidates qualified for the interview and to finish 11 candidates were called for medical examination.
