Budgam's Wagoora gets its first Govt. Kindergarten School



In a very first of its kind Wagoora village of central Kashmirs Budgam district in Zone B.K Pora got its first Government Kindergarten School, which was inaugurated on Saturday at Government high school Wagoora.

In order to implement the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) programs effectively across all the schools in Kashmir Division, The directorate of School Education Kashmir has launched a program entitled, “NANHAY QADHAM” under which each district has been provided five to six preschool centres in its first phase.
In order to compete in the field these schools are equipped with highly qualified and trained teachers, Child Friendly and Digital Classrooms, including Art area, Mathematics and Manipulative area, music and movement area, Dolls area, Sand and Water play area, Language and literacy area, Drama area.

At least 50 Children from three to six years of age can be enrolled in these schools that would be given quality education via paly way method of teaching, well maintained and hygienic learning environment, free snacks and midday meals.
It is pertinent to mention that this would be the only Government run kindergarten school in the Zone B.K Pora.

The school on Saturday was inaugurated by Chief Education Officer Budgam, Rouf Ahmad Shahmari. Besides SDM Chadoora, Aziz Ahmad, Zonal Education Officer B.K Pora, Razia, ZEPO B.K Pora Mushtaq Ahmad, District President Teachers Forum Budgam, Mohammad Shafi Rather, Zonal President B.K Pora, Mohammad Maqbool Dar, Dr Nasreen, Rehana Kounsar, Nighat Yaseen from State Resource Group (SRG) ECCE, were also present in the inaugural ceremony.
However a large gathering of Students, teachers, Parents and other locals of the village made their presence on the occasion.
The audiences were enthralled by the noted speakers including SDM Chadoora, CEO Budgam, and others threw light on Education and the importance of Kindergarten schools. Parents and locals of the village welcomed the move and offered their special appreciations to the authorities for granting this kindergarten in favor of this village.

“We are thankful to the authorities who initiated for the establishment of this kindergarten school in village Wagoora as it would help poor people like us to enroll their children in these Kindergarten Schools without any fee rather paying thousands of Rupees in Private run Kindergarten Schools, said one of the parents who was present on the Occasion.
